Dillard High 6-12 Hosts Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for Newly Installed Artificial Turf

WHAT:
Dillard High 6-12 is celebrating its newly installed artificial turf field, which was funded in part by a $250,000 grant from the Miami Dolphins, the NFL Foundation and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation. The modern upgrade enhances the school’s athletic facilities, providing a safer, more durable surface for sports and community events. The celebration includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony, remarks from school and District leaders, student performances and student-athletes eager to get on the field!

WHY:
The installation of the new artificial turf reflects the District’s ongoing commitment to improving school facilities and promoting student health, wellness and school pride. This project, made possible through strong partnerships with community stakeholders, provides a lasting investment that benefits current and future student-athletes. The turf field’s durability allows for year-round use and supports a wide variety of sports and activities beyond football, creating a vibrant space for both school and community events.
