5 Star Award

In 2017, LCMS was awarded the Five Star School Award that was created by the Commissioner’s Community Involvement Council of Florida and is presented annually to those schools that have shown evidence of exemplary community involvement. In order for a school to receive this award, a school must show documentation that it has achieved 100% of the established criteria in the categories of business partnerships, family involvement, volunteerism, Student Community Service, and School Advisory Councils.

Golden School Award

For 15 years, LCMS was awarded the Golden School Award. The Golden School Award recognizes elementary, secondary and adult schools that have a volunteer coordinator and a minimum of 80 percent of their staff members who have participated in training related to school volunteerism. The total number of hours of volunteer service must also equal twice the number of students enrolled in the school.

National PTA School of Excellence

In 2024, LCMS was awarded the National PTA School of Excellence presented by the National PTA acknowledging schools that foster strong family-school partnerships and create a welcoming school climate.
